If you would like to plan and perform your own Memorial Service at Sea for your loved one, we've just made it easy for you to do so! Our do-it-yourself guide is the only one of its kind in this industry. This guide will direct you through each step of your service, including the legal paperwork needed. We will provide you with what you need to know to legally and respectably conduct your at-sea service for your loved one off the coast of California. Instructions:

1. Do-it-yourself Packet: Send us an original or certified copy of the death certificate (or burial/transit permit from states outside of California) of your loved one with your payment. You must specify the California city nearest the coast where you will be having your service. (If the death occurred in California, we will need to file an amendment to the death certificate to specify burial at sea. The extra charge for that is $25.00 if death occurred less than one year ago, $40.00 if death occurred more than one year ago). We will obtain a permit for you to scatter the ashes at sea off the coast you designated when you sent us the death certificate. We will also send you the do-it-yourself instruction booklet as described below.

You are in no hurry to make arrangements until you are ready. The burial permit does not expire.

• If you would like the convenience of having all forms and an invoice emailed to you including an invoice, please use the contact form.

2. Do-it-yourself information booklet only: Contains the necessary information, instructions, and suggestions to be able to legally and respectably conduct your at-sea service for your loved one of the coast of California.
