Hello from Ashes on the Sea. This month, we've been honored to guide families through their moments of farewell along California's beautiful shores.

Ceremonies of Remembrance
We conducted numerous ash scattering ceremonies, each personalized and meaningful. A highlight was a sunset ceremony near Malibu, where dolphins unexpectedly accompanied us, creating a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the family.

This past weekend at Ashes on the Sea, we've witnessed some profoundly moving moments as we assisted families in saying their heartfelt goodbyes. From the beaches of Ventura to the harbors of San Diego, we navigated the magnificent waters of California, honoring the wishes of the departed and their families. Each ash scattering ceremony was a unique journey - a blend of shared memories, love, and respect. As we watched the ashes disperse into the vast Pacific, we were reminded of the beautiful cycle of life and death - a touching testament to the enduring spirit of those who have left us, but whose legacies live on in the rhythm of the sea.

This weekend we had the privilege of guiding a family through a gentle farewell at sea. The sun dipped below the horizon as we sailed out from San Diego Harbor, casting a golden glow on the water. Surrounded by the vastness of the Pacific, our clients found solace and a sense of closure as they scattered their loved one's ashes into the ocean's embrace. Even direct cremation with a land burial can be as much as $3,000.00 or more. You can visit AARP's website and search for articles regarding funeral costs.

A simple, Direct Cremation and burial at sea can cost as little as $495.00, depending on the firm you choose do perform the cremation. Remember to ask for all details. Direct Cremation can mean different things at each mortuary or funeral home. Ask what the lowest price direct cremation includes, and if there are any additional costs. The direct cremation cost at one company we looked at ranged in price from $395.00 to $1045.00, without the scattering at sea.

Ashes on the Sea charges only $295.00 for an unattended burial at sea. You can send the ashes to us, and we scatter them in a dignified manner. There are no hidden charges. You can obtain the permit if you would like to save on costs, otherwise, if needed, we can obtain it for you ($69). We'll send you the longitude and latitude afterward for your files.
